Counselling for Kids
Coming to see me means having a safe and fun space where you can be yourself. Sometimes kids have big feelings or worries — like things happening at school, stuff with friends or brothers and sisters, changes at home, or things that just feel hard inside.
You don’t have to explain everything with words. In our sessions, you get to choose how we work — we might:
Play with toys
Draw or paint
Use stories or puppets
Talk when you feel ready
Try calming and feeling-better tools
Play and creativity help your feelings feel safe. While we play and talk, I help you learn ways to understand your emotions, feel calmer, and solve problems. There is no right or wrong way — this is your space and your time.
My job is to listen, support you, and help you feel strong and confident in yourself. And yes — we can have fun while we do it!
Counselling for Teens
Seeing a counsellor is a chance to talk to someone who listens, understands, and doesn’t judge. Life as a teenager can feel intense — friendships, school, family stuff, stress, big emotions, and figuring out who you are can all get overwhelming at times.
In our sessions, you’ll have a space where you can be honest, take a breath, and just be yourself. You don’t need to have everything figured out — we can explore things together, at your pace.
You get to choose how we work. We can:
Talk about what’s happening for you
Work through emotions and stress
Use creative tools if you like (art, journaling, music, movement)
Learn strategies to help you feel calmer and more in control
Build confidence, resilience, and self-understanding
This is your space — there’s no pressure and no right or wrong way to be here. My job is to support you, help you make sense of things, and walk alongside you as you work out who you are and what you need.
You deserve a place where you feel safe, heard, and respected — and that’s what I’m here to give you.
Counselling for Neurodivergent kids
If you’re neurodivergent, you already see and experience the world in a unique way — and that’s something to honour, not “fix.”
Counselling with me isn’t about changing who you are.
It’s about understanding yourself, feeling safe to be you, and learning ways to navigate the world that actually work for your brain, body, and emotions.
In our sessions, you get to:
Show up exactly as you are — no masking needed
Share your feelings, thoughts, interests, and challenges at your pace
Use communication that suits you (talking, writing, drawing, fidgeting, silence — whatever feels right)
Explore emotions, sensory needs, and stress in a way that makes sense to you
Build tools to support emotional regulation, confidence, and self-acceptance
Discover strategies that fit your brain, not someone else's expectations
We might:
Use art, music, movement, sensory tools, or creativity
Talk about friendships, school, identity, masking, burnout, or anxiety
Learn ways to manage overwhelm and big emotions
Explore routines, rest, and ways to protect your energy
Celebrate the strengths that come with your neurotype
You don’t need to sit still, make eye contact, talk in full sentences, or “get everything right.”
You don’t need to hide the parts of you that feel different.
This is a space where your brain is welcome, your feelings are valid, and your needs matter. My job isn’t to change you — it’s to support you being you, confidently and safely.
Support for LGBTQIA+ Teens
If you're exploring your identity, questioning who you are, or trying to understand your feelings about gender, sexuality, or relationships — you are welcome here.
Being a teenager can already feel big and confusing at times. When you're also figuring out your identity, it can feel even more overwhelming — especially if you're not sure who it's safe to talk to, or if you feel misunderstood, judged, or alone.
This is a space where you can:
Be yourself without pressure or expectation
Explore your feelings, identity, and experiences at your pace
Talk about friendships, relationships, and family dynamics
Build confidence in who you are
Learn tools to cope with stress, anxiety, or big emotions
Feel supported and respected — no assumptions, no judgement
You don’t need to have everything figured out — most people don’t, and that’s okay. Our work together isn’t about telling you who you are; it’s about helping you feel safe enough to explore, understand, and grow into who you want to be.
Your identity, your story, and your voice matter.
You deserve support that honours who you are and gives you room to breathe, learn, and feel proud of yourself.
